Senior Coach Andrew has been a nationally registered coach with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC) since 2007, consistently updating his skills through workshops and seminars to stay at the forefront of modern teaching methods. He meets all NROC ethical and professional standards, reflecting his high integrity and commitment to excellence.

Andrew is designated as a Senior Coach (Competitive Swimming) by Sport Singapore and Singapore Aquatics, the governing bodies for Swimming in Singapore. Requirements were completed in July 2025 after more than a year of training, including a practicum attachment at the Singapore Sports School. The Senior Coach designation signifies advanced coaching expertise and experience, with recommended roles as competitive coaches in schools and clubs. To the best of our knowledge, there are only about 70 such senior swimming coaches in all of Singapore.

As a certified SwimSafer Instructor and Assessor, Andrew is among a small group of approximately 300 coaches in Singapore qualified to both teach and assess SwimSafer, the only government-recognized swimming certification. This rare dual role—held by an estimated 3% of swim coaches—enables him to teach strict SwimSafer skills and approve certifications. These SwimSafer qualifications in addition to his Senior Coach designation, positions Andrew as one of Singapore’s top-tier, highly sought-after swimming coaches.

An accredited Ministry of Education (MOE) Instructor, Andrew has taught at prestigious schools like Anglo-Chinese School (Junior) and Raffles Girls’ School under the local mandatory Primary school SwimSafer programme. He maintains an impeccable record with Sport Singapore and MOE. He has also coached international students at institutions such as the Singapore Korean International School (SKIS), and served as an instructor and SwimSafer preparatory coach at SAFRA’s FINS Swim School, gaining diverse insights into effective teaching methodologies.

Through his independent swimming school, Andrew integrates his extensive experience to deliver a dynamic, engaging program that accelerates learning and maximizes enjoyment. His curriculum is tailored to each student’s abilities, fostering skill development and confidence. As both coach and business owner, he effectively combines coaching and customer service, ensuring integrated communications and administration.

Andrew’s teaching style is nurturing yet disciplined, creating a fun, supportive environment where young swimmers thrive. His lessons balance safety, challenge, and enjoyment, with step-by-step progressions customized to each child’s needs. Children eagerly anticipate his weekly classes, often sharing their excitement and new skills with family and friends. Parents trust his personalized approach, often enrolling siblings and recommending friends and relatives to his classes. By actively seeking feedback from students and parents, Andrew continuously refines his methods, ensuring a dynamic learning experience that evolves with their needs.

With Andrew’s guidance, students not only master swimming but also cultivate a lifelong passion for the water. His expert instruction empowers them with skills and confidence that extend beyond the pool, building the foundation for a child’s active lifestyle and lasting safety and comfort in water.
